What Glorious Morning Glories!

Morning glories are beautiful even as their beauty is short-lived. When the sun is up and hot, they close up until the next day.

The white sparkles on the flower are the pollen... we watched the bees busily working to harvest it. For some reason it seems to shimmer and sparkle.

I love the rich deep purple color of this flower. I have smaller blue morning glories at home...and I do enjoy them... but these are spectacular!

Such a lot of beauty and detail wrapped up in an interesting package.

If anyone knows what kind of morning glories these are... I would love to hear about it in the comments.

Thank you for visiting.

    1. Thank you... I have so enjoyed these beautiful flowers and their rich intense coloring. I'm so glad they are coming up again this year, especially since I forgot to plant some of the seeds I saved from last year. :)

  3. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos. The large white barn in the background creates a peaceful backdrop for the glorious morning glories. The flowers are so pretty -- nothing can compete with the work of the Father's hand.

  4. Your pictures a beautiful! And I'll agree that Morning Glories are lovely, but they sure do take over your vegetable garden if you are careful to keep them weeded out!

    1. Oh, I do agree! This particular flower doesn't seem to do that... it is a bigger flower and seems to need a bit of cultivating unlike the smaller morning glories that grow like crazy and cover everything in their path! :)

    1. Thank you so much... I would love to be able to claim that barn (and my kids would too!!! ) but it is one that we visit, not one we own. That is where I first saw these beautiful morning glories and now I grow them in my yard too. :)
