We took a trip to the Ozarks to see family.... It was fun and beautiful.....
So much fun in the creek which is spring fed.... and cold.....
The swings over the creek were appealing... as was dragging their feet in the water....
This guy was flying all over and didn't land for long... I was glad to get this picture of him......
There were some bridges over the creek.... so pretty.
Following the creek back to the source took us into the woods... where there was mainly filtered sunlight.... it was nice after the heat of the bright sun....
It was cooler and pretty in there...
Such beauty that God has made....
The hills and sunlit meadows just seemed to invite exploring....
Old structures in the woods...
Rushing water..... has its own kind of beauty.... and the green plants just help to emphasize it....
Exploring is fun....
Feet in the creek was a big hit. :)
A beautiful area of the country.... a joy to be there........... a blessing to see family......... and when time to go home came.... that was fun also... we always enjoy going home.... and taking wonderful memories with us. :)
Thank you for visiting my blog today.... I hope you have a wonderful week!!!

They are a beautiful place to visit... although I am glad that we don't actually live there. :) There is no place like home. Thank you for visiting.
DeleteOh my! What gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteI live in SW Missouri.
Where did you go?
It looks dreamy!
We were down near Camdenton, Mo.... we visited the New Tribes campus... and it is beautiful there. :) Thank you for your visit and comment... it was so nice to have you.
DeleteIt's gorgeous! Is the New Tribes campus an Indian campus or a church ministry campus? Is it open to the public?
DeleteBlessings,
Laura
It is the campus... for students... not sure if it is open to the public or not, but if you call them, they would probably let you visit. They don't have signs up restricting access, so it may be fine to just go. It is a beautiful campus on the shores of part of the lake. :) We have been there many times to visit family... and now family lives close to there, so it is a favorite place to go when there... if we have the time. :)
DeleteI have never heard of the Ozarks before (thank you google :-) ). It seems like a great area and your photos do it justice.
ReplyDeleteThank you... it really is a beautiful area and we enjoy going there to visit family... and I am always on the lookout for good photo-ops... we see lots there. :) Thank you for visiting.
DeleteReminds me of growing up in East Tennessee. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteI would imagine it would be similar to Tennessee... although I haven't spent much time in Tenn. It is beautiful. :)
DeleteYour day looks like it was incredible! Such a wonderful way to spend a day!
ReplyDeleteYes, it was... and so nice to have made those great memories with the family in such a lovely place. :) Thank you for visiting.

DeleteBeautiful photos! Now I want some summer weather. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you.... summer weather will be nice, but with already getting up to 80 degrees in April... we may be in for a hot one! Thank you for visiting. :)
DeleteLooks like a great time! My husband grew up in northwest Arkansas and tells me stories about he and his brother playing out in the woods. :) Thanks for sharing on the Homestead Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful... that creek is spring fed and it was COLD! Refreshing on a hot day though. :) Thank you for visiting.
DeleteThanks for attending the #WednesdayAIMLinkParty, I shared your post.

Thank you for that specific comment... the master artist is amazing and there is so much to learn from Him. :) Thank you for visiting... and for the blog party.
DeleteLooks like it was a beautiful trip. I especially am impressed you managed to get a shot of the dragonfly. Not an easy thing to do.
ReplyDeletethanks for sharing on #FridayFrivolity
It really was... I did work on getting that dragonfly! They tend to dart quite quickly... fun to have that pic. Thank you for visiting. :)
DeleteThank you for representing my beautiful Missouri Ozarks so nicely!! We looked everywhere for land with such awesome cool springs but we settled for land with just the hills and meadows. Middle Missouri is a beautiful place to visit/live.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know that the New Tribes mission campus was that close to me and will look into that...
Even though I live here, your photo montage was a refreshing little vacation, ha.
I love it! What a fun comment. We have enjoyed visiting and there is so much beauty... I always take LOTS and LOTS of pictures. :) If you may be close to New Tribes, then you may also be close to Ha Ha Tonka... we LOVE hiking there... and taking pictures whenever we visit the area. :)
