A Quick Easy Breakfast

For a quick breakfast, we love to have banana bread "sandwiches" with cream cheese in the middle. A plate of fruit, maybe a plate of cheese and a pot of tea makes a great fast breakfast. :)

Homemade banana bread smells so good. :)

Putting cream cheese between slices makes a wonderful little sandwich. :)  This also works well with other kinds of breads - like cranberry, cherry, pumpkin, zucchini or more.

We take these on trips as well - a wonderful snack.

This time we have little orange slices - sometimes we have apple slices, grapes, strawberries or other fruits.  Lots of times, we also have a plate of cheese slices which goes well with such a meal.

One nice thing about such a meal is that it is very easy to prepare..... and to have things ready for a child to prepare.

Thank you for visiting today..... so nice to have you stop by. I hope you have a great day. :)

    1. Yes, I do, but some, like this post.... were linked up last year, and I am using this one again now... so no, I am not doing all of these at once - many of them are from last year. :) Life has gotten so very busy and I have had to cut back on some things... so I am writing a new post on each blog each week.... and pulling an old one in also for link ups since the info is still good... Thank you for visiting. :)

  25. Simply lovely, and I'm wishing I'd used these rainy days this week to bake up a batch of my Mother's Banana Bread. When I used to cater parties, we'd make half a dozen loaves, sliced and halved and circled around a platter, with a pretty mold of cream cheese in the center. Beautiful, and VERY popular.

And that's one of our favorite breakfasts, too.

    1. Mmmm... it is a good breakfast and it worked well for traveling or days where we needed something ready in a hurry... something that would stick a while. :) A pretty mold of cream cheese sounds beautiful and I can see why those were popular. Thank you for visiting.

    1. It is really good. Sometimes people like to sweeten the cream cheese and I'm sure that would be good also, but we like it with just plain cream cheese... it helps it to be filling and a bit more substantial. Thank you for visiting. :)
