For a quick breakfast, we love to have banana bread "sandwiches" with cream cheese in the middle. A plate of fruit, maybe a plate of cheese and a pot of tea makes a great fast breakfast. :)
Homemade banana bread smells so good. :)
Putting cream cheese between slices makes a wonderful little sandwich. :) This also works well with other kinds of breads - like cranberry, cherry, pumpkin, zucchini or more.
We take these on trips as well - a wonderful snack.
This time we have little orange slices - sometimes we have apple slices, grapes, strawberries or other fruits. Lots of times, we also have a plate of cheese slices which goes well with such a meal.
One nice thing about such a meal is that it is very easy to prepare..... and to have things ready for a child to prepare.
Thank you for visiting today..... so nice to have you stop by. I hope you have a great day. :)

DeleteI absolutely LOVE Banana Nut Bread and love adding cream cheese to a slice or two. :)
ReplyDeleteTell me, dear one, do you link to ALL the parties you have listed ?
Yes, I do, but some, like this post.... were linked up last year, and I am using this one again now... so no, I am not doing all of these at once - many of them are from last year. :) Life has gotten so very busy and I have had to cut back on some things... so I am writing a new post on each blog each week.... and pulling an old one in also for link ups since the info is still good... Thank you for visiting. :)
DeleteThis look so awesome:-) Thanks for linking up and sharing with us at Funtastic Friday. Hope you join us again this week.

ReplyDeleteWe sure enjoy it... and I am reminded that we need to do it again. :) Thank you for visiting.
DeleteSimply lovely, and I'm wishing I'd used these rainy days this week to bake up a batch of my Mother's Banana Bread. When I used to cater parties, we'd make half a dozen loaves, sliced and halved and circled around a platter, with a pretty mold of cream cheese in the center. Beautiful, and VERY popular.
ReplyDeleteAnd that's one of our favorite breakfasts, too.
rachel
Mmmm... it is a good breakfast and it worked well for traveling or days where we needed something ready in a hurry... something that would stick a while. :) A pretty mold of cream cheese sounds beautiful and I can see why those were popular. Thank you for visiting.
DeleteI'm on my way over now. Put the kettle on. :-)
ReplyDeleteI will do that! :) I just told my daughter today that we need to make more of these breads to put into the freezer again... she said there may be one left. :) Thank you for the smile.
DeleteBanana nut bread is so good but I have never tried it with cream cheese in the middle. Sounds wonderful. Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
ReplyDeleteIt is really good. Sometimes people like to sweeten the cream cheese and I'm sure that would be good also, but we like it with just plain cream cheese... it helps it to be filling and a bit more substantial. Thank you for visiting. :)
DeleteYour banana bread looks just wonderful and I love the idea with the cream cheese which would be nice on an Afternoon Tea Tray. Thanks for sharing and linking.
ReplyDeleteThank you... we have used it for an afternoon tea and it was delightful. Thank you for the party... it is always a joy to visit. :)
DeleteYour recipe sounds wonderful, Keep on #DIDI, we love seeing your posts. Hope you have a great day!
ReplyDeleteThank you.... I will keep on... and I sure enjoy your party. Thank you.
