A Quote I Like....

I enjoy quotes.... sometimes a good quote can say just what you mean... or just what you need to hear.... and it can stick with us. This is one of those quotes for me.  I have believed this in the past, but when I first saw the movie "Facing the Giants" and heard this quote, it just cemented it in my mind.... and I really appreciate the quote.

 It had to do with a football game and other things in the movie... and also a commitment to trusting God.... no matter what.


When things are going the way we want them to.... it is easy to praise Him.... although it is also easy to forget that part.

 When things are not going well, we tend to want to demand our own way... and it is harder to praise Him.

 Since He is God.... and knows ALL things... We need to ALWAYS praise Him.... whether we understand... or not.


So....... we need to praise Him.... whether we "win" or "lose" in whatever way that fits in our own life. So, whatever is going on in your life - whether good or bad, I hope you are able to praise Him.... and trust Him. I am determined to do that. Thank you for visiting today.     Good reminder. It's easy to forget when we let our flesh run away with us. Back in my early coaching days I prayed for safety and for a win. In time God added some wisdom and I prayed to "Win, lose, or draw, may we honor You, Father.

    What a great quote, I've never heard that before. Such a great reminder for us. I know I often need to be prompted that God’s goodness isn't based on how good or bad my day is, we should give thanks in all circumstances. Thank you for sharing and for your beautiful pictures!

      I'm so glad you visited... the movie, "Facing The Giants" is a wonderful movie... and I don't even LIKE football! :) I love how they made this point so vividly in the movie.

      It is a good one... it is so easy to justify a bad attitude when things don't work out as we want them to, but I like the reminder to praise Him.... no matter what.

      So true... and trusting gets a little easier the more we do it... I think it must be like a muscle... it needs to be used to grow. :)
