Bees At Work!

The crocus are up and they are beautiful... we are sure enjoying them. The bees are also enjoying them... it is hard to believe that we went sledding just days ago. :)  The bees are such a help to us as they gather and use pollen.

In this picture, the bee is busily at work, but all that was visible in my lens was the one wing.

This is just a wing, but the transparency is obvious as you can see the yellow of the flower through the wing.

These bees climb in... and go around gathering all of the pollen they can.

They flit quickly from flower to flower... and as I was taking pictures, I noticed that the bees didn't like my camera much.  I am assuming there is probably a faint hum to the camera that I don't notice, but they do.. but I am not sure.

The phrase... "busy as a bee" sure fits....

The little fine hairs show up here... amazing little creatures.

I also find it amazing that just about a week ago, we had snow on the ground... and then a couple of warm days and the flowers bloomed... and the bees came.  Great timing... and no, I don't believe it was by chance. :)  I am sure that God planned it this way.

The contortions these guys went to in getting that pollen were really something... like bee exercises. :)

What a beautiful flower and spring... I love spring and I am sure enjoying the color that is replacing the drabness of winter.  I doubt that the bees care about the color... but they sure are enjoying the pollen.  :)
