A Humorous Look at... Photo Shoots!

What IS a photo shoot anyway? Whether you are a professional photographer or a hobbyist, photography is wonderful.... and fun. If you live with a photographer, you know things can be interrupted by the "need" to take a "quick" picture! Either way, I hope you will enjoy this humorous look at Photo Shoots.  :)

I love how this turtle looks like he is laughing... it fits with taking a humorous look at photo shoots. :)

Trees, clouds and birds
We're going on a photo shoot!

Smooth waters and images reflected

See a squirrel, deer or hawk?
  It's a photo shoot!

In the Life of a Squirrel

Cook food for blog post...

  Gotta do a photo shoot.

  Hearty Meatloaf Burgers!
Flowers, buildings, trees in bloom?
  We do a photo shoot.

A walk in the park or woods....
  For a photo shoot.

Have extra time and beautiful scenery....
Why not do a photo shoot?

Bridges, tunnels, sunsets....
All good for a photo shoot!

Angles, lighting and backgrounds...
  Considerations for a photo shoot.

Interesting oddities or old barns....
  Another photo shoot!

Keep a camera ever handy....
We may see something for a photo shoot!

Husband says "Can't we just walk?"
Couple walk means no photo shoot.

Mentally record beauty and sunset on such walk...
Because relationship time better without photo shoot.

Husband read this, then we went for a walk...
He said, "Grab your camera.... you might do a photo shoot!"

 Clouds... and Photography Tips

Husband and I laugh as he points out something and says....
There, Honey, there's something for your photo shoot!

Thank you for visiting... I hope you are enjoying your own photo shoots!  We are really enjoying ours.

By the way, I would love to hear if you can relate in some way to any of this... please let me know in the comments.
I don't think it happens only in my home. :)

  1. So true! Not to mention how many times my timing was just a bit slow for that "perfect" moment. This happened to me this morning when I was driving around a corner near our Illinois home. A Mallard and a Cottontail were out on a lawn staring at each other from a distance of about 3 feet. I pulled over the car, got my iPhone and opened the car window. Simultaneously both subjects departed in opposite directions!

    1. Not fun... but it happens a lot... which makes the great shots all the better since they don't happen often. :)

  3. I could have written this post, lol! And my husband and your husband would probably share a few laughs about photography shoot escapades, lol! And it does seem the times that I leave my camera home that EVERYONE is saying, where is your camera, lol... like the couple of nights ago when a whole herd of elk were feeding under a glorious sunset in green grass, and I had left my camera at home! Oh well... you are right, it makes getting the nice shots all the more enjoyed for sure... enjoyed your post! Hugs to you today!

    1. What a FUN comment! :) I agree that our husbands would probably have stories to share! I have started taking a camera in my purse so I have one with me at all times.... just in case. I don't use it every time, but I DO use it many times. Thank you for stopping by... so glad I am not the only one like this. :)

  4. So very true! I take my camera everywhere! My camera case looks kind of like a small black purse. I often leave my purse locked in the car and just take my camera in its case with me! But I do miss some of the best shots. I was on my way to a friend's house when I saw a horse leaning over a pasture fence to reach grass on the other side. I thought 'The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!' But I was running late already, so I did not stop, thinking I will pick her up and come right back. But, of course, the horse had moved away from the fence by then. Every time I drive down that road, I look for that horse. Sooner or later, it will reach across the fence again, and I'll be there!
    Have a wonderful week-end!

    1. Oh... I can identify w/ that... I have a road where there was a hawk right above me in a tree... perfect shot, but couldn't stop... turned around and it was gone.... and so many others also. I guess it is like fishermen w/ tales of the "one that got away"! :) I love keeping my camera very accessible!

  6. For me, it's basically every time my kids do something cute. Or when they just look cute...which is pretty much all of the time! I just "have to" pull out my camera. :-)

  8. My husband is quite used to me jumping up when I see something - clouds, flowers, sunsets. He even points stuff out for me now. The iPhone is the best thing that ever happened to me because now I always have a camera in easy reach. P.S. you have some beautiful pictures here. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com

    1. Thank you... how nice to hear from you. It's fun that our husbands can enjoy this w/ us... at least sometimes! There are those times when my husband lets me know HE wants my attention and he doesn't want to compete with the camera! :)
