What IS a photo shoot anyway? Whether you are a professional photographer or a hobbyist, photography is wonderful.... and fun. If you live with a photographer, you know things can be interrupted by the "need" to take a "quick" picture! Either way, I hope you will enjoy this humorous look at Photo Shoots. :)
I love how this turtle looks like he is laughing... it fits with taking a humorous look at photo shoots. :)

By the way, I would love to hear if you can relate in some way to any of this... please let me know in the comments.
I don't think it happens only in my home. :)

So true! Not to mention how many times my timing was just a bit slow for that "perfect" moment. This happened to me this morning when I was driving around a corner near our Illinois home. A Mallard and a Cottontail were out on a lawn staring at each other from a distance of about 3 feet. I pulled over the car, got my iPhone and opened the car window. Simultaneously both subjects departed in opposite directions!
ReplyDeleteNot fun... but it happens a lot... which makes the great shots all the better since they don't happen often. :)
DeleteWow your images are beautiful. Thanks for sharing your wonderful posts at Over The Moon Party.
ReplyDeleteSee you next week.
Hugs,
Bev
I could have written this post, lol! And my husband and your husband would probably share a few laughs about photography shoot escapades, lol! And it does seem the times that I leave my camera home that EVERYONE is saying, where is your camera, lol... like the couple of nights ago when a whole herd of elk were feeding under a glorious sunset in green grass, and I had left my camera at home! Oh well... you are right, it makes getting the nice shots all the more enjoyed for sure... enjoyed your post! Hugs to you today!
ReplyDeleteWhat a FUN comment! :) I agree that our husbands would probably have stories to share! I have started taking a camera in my purse so I have one with me at all times.... just in case. I don't use it every time, but I DO use it many times. Thank you for stopping by... so glad I am not the only one like this. :)
DeleteSo very true! I take my camera everywhere! My camera case looks kind of like a small black purse. I often leave my purse locked in the car and just take my camera in its case with me! But I do miss some of the best shots. I was on my way to a friend's house when I saw a horse leaning over a pasture fence to reach grass on the other side. I thought 'The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence!' But I was running late already, so I did not stop, thinking I will pick her up and come right back. But, of course, the horse had moved away from the fence by then. Every time I drive down that road, I look for that horse. Sooner or later, it will reach across the fence again, and I'll be there!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful week-end!
Oh... I can identify w/ that... I have a road where there was a hawk right above me in a tree... perfect shot, but couldn't stop... turned around and it was gone.... and so many others also. I guess it is like fishermen w/ tales of the "one that got away"! :) I love keeping my camera very accessible!
DeleteAwesome reflections.
ReplyDeleteNice to know I'm in good company. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteMe too.... glad to meet another person on the lookout for a photo shoot... I am able to find them pretty much anywhere. :)
DeleteFor me, it's basically every time my kids do something cute. Or when they just look cute...which is pretty much all of the time! I just "have to" pull out my camera. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love it! I do understand that... and I have the pictures to prove it. :) What a blessing to be able to take so many photos.
DeleteI can relate! I light the photo of the laughing turtle!!
ReplyDeleteI'm finding there are more of us who can relate to this than I thought!!! I loved that laughing turtle too. :)
DeleteMy husband is quite used to me jumping up when I see something - clouds, flowers, sunsets. He even points stuff out for me now. The iPhone is the best thing that ever happened to me because now I always have a camera in easy reach. P.S. you have some beautiful pictures here. Alana ramblinwitham.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteThank you... how nice to hear from you. It's fun that our husbands can enjoy this w/ us... at least sometimes! There are those times when my husband lets me know HE wants my attention and he doesn't want to compete with the camera! :)
DeleteThanks for the smile! And what gorgeous shots.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome... glad someone could relate... and thank you for the comment on the pictures. :) So glad you visited.
DeleteI can totally relate. I take my camera everywhere and take pictures of anything and everything. And I keep most of them. I have 62,000 photos tagged on flickr. I am a photo hoarder. I love this post!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun comment! :) I am so glad to meet another "kindred spirit"! :)
DeleteNice shots all. I love all the birds on a wire and the laughing turtle.
ReplyDeleteThank you... I enjoy those also... and I am so glad you stopped by! :)
DeleteYou have such a wonderful eye ~ love the photos you've captured! Thanks for sharing @Vintage Charm!
ReplyDeleteThank you..... I do tend to see things from a bit of a different perspective sometimes... and I sure do enjoy taking photos and being creative in it. :)
DeleteThank you... I sure appreciate hearing that! So glad you visited. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you. I love what you write about your husband. Here the same. And o, how I love the yellow flower pic.
ReplyDeleteIt is special to be able to share some of this w/ my husband, even if he doesn't really understand my zeal at times. :) Thank you for visiting. :)
DeleteYup, every day is a photo shoot! :) Why not? Life is filled with so many beautiful things! Thanks for sharing with SYC.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Yes, Yes, Yes!!! I laughed w/ my daughter as I told her that I think I could make a photo shoot out of almost anything!!! :) You're right, there are so many beautiful things to enjoy. Glad you visited.
DeleteOh yes! My husband comments on the fact that I almost always have a camera in my hand. What great photos!
ReplyDeleteFunny.... especially since my husband is that way also... so nice we learn to accept and live w/ each others quirks. :) Thank you.
