Beautiful fall day.... and a great day for farm tour.
Beautiful pumpkins, pretty colors, wonderful weather... so nice to be outside.
While on a tour with the farm's owner out in the field, a call came in that a lamb was just born, so we were able to see the lamb soon after birth. Amazing!
The other sheep were eagerly awaiting food.... which is why there were congregated so closely as the workers made the meal ready for them.
One sheep was quite impatient...
His cries were loud and regular. It was obvious he wanted to eat... and not wait!
So many things to see on a farm and we loved learning from the owner as he showed antique tools they still use on the farm as well as new things that are also used. I found myself amazed at the planning required to keep up with all they do there, which is a lot. They have to plan ahead and keep track of things on calendars. What a blessing farmers and farms are to us. I know I am thankful for them.
I'd love to hear from you in the comments... have you visited a farm? do you like farm animals and learning of the work done there? do you enjoy these beautiful fall days?... Thank you for visiting.
Gentle Joy
I like farms. It has been a while since we visited one.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was growing up we had milk goats. My sister and I did the milking together.
We are having a nice fall. The weather has been calm and on the warmer side.
Farms are not as plentiful as they used to be and it is nice to still see them and enjoy some memories like your memories of the goats and milking them with your sister. It is a nice fall here too and glad it is for you... winter will be here soon and I am determined to be thankful for it too. :) Thank you for visiting.
DeleteThese are some lovely creatures and other farm things to see! I love the baby goat and the pumpkins in the field is a fantastic shot :)
