Nature and Scripture

God has provided so many scenes for us to enjoy in nature.
Come and enjoy some nature photos
and the Scripture that is paired with the photos.

This photo obviously has nature, but all is not nature.  :)

I love the colors and peacefulness of this picture. Actually, it was a puddle yet the picture
looks like there is a cheerful little brook there.

The fog changes the look of a scene so wonderfully!

A bunny hiding... sometimes we can feel like a bunny
needing to be protected.

I have taken thousands of sunrise and sunset photos, yet there
is so much variation.

I had to take this bunny's photo between the slats of the railing.

We are enjoying the Orioles this year... such beautiful colors.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you are enjoying God's creation also. Which picture was your favorite?
Sometimes it is hard to choose.

I love enjoying what God has made and I hope you do too, especially in these confusing
days where life has changed so much. God is still good!

Fall and Snow Pictures

A collection of Fall and Snow Pictures

I love the detail of fall leaves... God is such a creative God.

Duckie was our first duck and he belongs to my youngest daughter. He is certainly a pet.

It has been a different kind of year to have snow on top of fall leaves.

What a joy to see the beauty of the earth especially in times of difficulties.

A layer of snow added to the already colorful scene.

We appreciated being there to hear this woman practicing bagpipes on a cold day.

Weeds, barbed wire fence and fall...

We have had several bonfires so far this year... nice to have the heat on cold evenings while enjoying chili and hot dogs by the outdoor fire while watching the stars. .

Did you see a picture that interested you more than others? I'd love to hear about it. I love taking photos of the beauty God surrounds us with in our lives. Thank you for visiting.

Scenes From the Garden...

The garden is a place of changing scenes...

A garden visitor who has just snacked in the garden and seemed to consider going back for more.

A place of quiet in the early morning stillness and light fog.

The fog wraps around the fruit trees and highlights their beautiful shapes.

The view from a distance seems peaceful in the light of the rising sun.

Thank you for visiting today.  I would love to hear from you in the comments.

Glorious Rays of Sun

I enjoy the beauty God has made and I take a lot of photos to record it. Whether clouds, sunsets, animals, fog, ice, trees or more, I love to photograph nature and that's what this blog is about.

This post is specifically about those glorious rays of the sun that peek through clouds, trees or other things. It can change a regular scene into something special... something mysterious.... something glorious.

I love being up in the early morning to be able to see the sun peek through the trees while the day just gets started. It is peaceful as well as beautiful. Since my family is large and I am kept very busy throughout each day, I love these quiet bits of time to enjoy the beauty of the earth that God has made.

The rays of light are beautiful, whether they go up, down or sideways. They are beautiful through fog, trees, smoke, between houses, around objects and they can transform an ordinary scene into something far more special.

Do you enjoy the rays of sun? I hope you take time to enjoy the beauty God puts around us. I delight in living in the country now so that we can enjoy it more than ever, although we found LOTS of beauty to enjoy in the city also. We have lived in the country for almost a year now and the time has just flown by. You can read about it at this link:  Living in the Country

Beautiful Reflections

Beautiful reflections catch my attention, like this reflected house. The sun on the side of the house, the still water, the early morning... all worked together to create some beautiful reflections.

I love the colors and shadows of the early morning.... the softer light...  and the peacefulness.

This picture shows the heron and its reflection.......... and also the reflection of the house not shown in the picture.  It seemed to be an interesting way to crop the picture.

The sunrise was beautiful............. and its reflection was amazing! What a blessing to be there and to capture it on my camera.

I liked the image of only the reflected sunrise... and the plants in the water.

I do enjoy looking for reflections... and I hope you have also enjoyed these.  It was such a beautiful morning and I so enjoyed having the privilege of observing these scenes.

Which picture is your favorite?

I hope you have a great week... thank you for visiting.

Geese At Sunset

It was a beautiful evening... a simple trip to the park..... a sunset on the water as the geese swam. Beautiful.

Sunset on the water... reflections...  a peaceful time... a gentle setting..... a nice way to end the day.

Silhouettes of the geese... a fleeting moment.... and beautiful. So easily missed and so glad we were there.

There is beauty all around us... many times in our busyness, we miss it. It is good to train ourselves to look for those snippets of beauty.... they are there....

"He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end."   Ecclesiastes 3:11

Enjoying the Sunset....

Sunsets.... we see them often, although sometimes we just take them for granted and don't really pay attention. They are amazingly beautiful though, as they change quickly.

We were out to have a picnic supper at the workplace of one of our sons. Since he works from 2-midnight, we miss having supper together, so we took some pizza and met him for supper.  It was later in the evening, the air was warm, the breeze was just enough to make it feel pleasant. It was a perfect night to be out and enjoy being together, plus we could watch the sunset.

These pictures have been cropped, but are otherwise unedited. The sunset was just that beautiful.

The picture above was from the top of the van... we were driving, but we have a sunroof on our older minivan and so it is a novelty and this was a perfect night to have it open. I couldn't resist raising my camera up and snapping the picture. :)  Yes, I stayed in my seat with my seatbelt on. :)

This next picture shows the sun settling lower in the sky.

We were driving home from supper with our son, so I just kept snapping pictures. No, that house is not ours... just one we passed by and I liked the trees against the sky.

I loved the changing sky... the colors and clouds.... and the different trees in silhouette. I'm so glad we took the time to enjoy the sunset. Do you take the time to enjoy the beautiful sunsets God makes? Maybe it is time to do that again... I know I will be watching them. :)
